104th Annual Session of the East Zion Consolidated District Association

 

The East Zion Consolidated District Association (EZCDA) will meet for its 104th Annual Session August 4-7, 2024.  The Session will be hosted by the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, 1700 N. E. 7th Street, in Oklahoma City.  Dr. John A. Reed, Jr. is Host Pastor.  Dr. Kelly R. Booker, Pastor of New Union Baptist Church, is District Moderator.  

The theme for the Session is “Forging a New Destiny” – The Beginning, Philippians 3:14.  This will be an In-Person Meeting.  All Joint Sessions and Auxiliary/Ministries will meet at Fairview during the week.  All evening services will begin at 6:30 p.m.

A brief overview of the Session is below.

 

SUNDAY AFTERNOON - 3:00pm will be the Official Opening of the 104th Session by Moderator Booker.  The Women of the District will follow with their Annual Session, featuring 1,000 women in white.  

Monday night -  The program will feature the District Children and Youth Ministries, Jr. Laymen, and Laymen (500 men in black) and their Leadership.  The Men of Zion, a choir made up of men of the EZCDA, will sing. 

Tuesday night - The Ushers, Nurses, Pastors and Ministers’ Conference, along with the Pastors, Ministers’ Wives and Widows (PMWW) Conference will be highlighted on Tuesday night. 

Wednesday night - is Moderator’s Night.  Moderator Booker will give his Annual Message during the 6:30 p.m. hour.

Music for the Session will be under the direction of the District Musician, Brother Orinthal Wandick.  Also singing on Sunday will be the Women of Grace, the Men of Zion on Tuesday night, and the New Union Baptist Choir on Moderator's night. 

The Session will end on Friday night with a Fellowship Banquet.  The Banquet will be held at Embassy Suites, 3233 N. W. Expressway, in Oklahoma City.  Tickets are still available at a donation of $75 each or $600 per table.  To secure a ticket/table, please contact Rev. James Brown at 405-641-0095 or by email at james.l.brownok@gmail.com.  The speaker for the banquet will be Rev. Anthony Scott, Pastor of First Baptist Church, North, Tulsa, OK.  Rev. Scott is the President of the Oklahoma Baptist State Convention and serves as Vice President for the West Region of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
